2.75 inch Chipper/Shredder - Model SC2206

A Chipper/Shredder is the most efficient method of reducing brush, leaves, and pruned limbs and is perfect for compost heaps or mulching. The ECHO Bear Cat SC2206 is a great unit for discerning homeowners and hobby gardeners. Six reversible shredder knives feature a serrated edge and are arranged in a staggered pattern for more efficient shredding and increase useful life. Comes with a standard 1.5 inch diameter debris screen reduces mulch to a consistent size. A .75 inch diameter screen is also available.

The ECHO Bear Cat chipper/shredders are designed to effectively reduce the volume of
wood, leaves, and other organic material.
If you don't plan on recycling the material, use the chipper. Also use the chipper if the material
is green and stringy.
If you plan on using the material for compost use the shredder. Shredding is an efficient way
to reduce the volume of leaves or prunings.
Depending on the type of wood, age and cleanliness, chipper blades will work well for between
five and ten hours. Dry, dirty wood will dull the blades faster.
The ECHO Bear Cat 2.75" chipper/shredder will chip a branch or bundle of branches up to
2.75” in diameter.
There is 2 debris screens that is available. The 1.5” is the standard screen and the
other screen that is available as an accessorie is: .75” diameter debris screen.
The debris screens are available for all models except two models. Both the SC5540B and
SC5670B have five shredder settings that are regulated by an adjustable gate, which controls
output.
